Introduction - The Basic Technique
Integrated Keyboarding is based on a simple technique using the second, third and fourth fingers of your left hand. All Leftward motion comes from your fourth finger pressing its home key "S". All Rightward motion comes from your second finger pressing its home key "F". Up and down motion comes from your third finger moving up to "E" or down to "C".

1. Mouse - a. Left, Right, Up, Down
To move the Mouse, use your right hand to press on the WINDOWS and ALT keys.
With your left hand, apply the Basic Technique (Introduction):
All Leftward motion comes from your fourth finger pressing its home key "S". All Rightward motion comes from your second finger pressing its home key "F". Up and down motion comes from your third finger moving up to "E" or down to "C".

1. Mouse - b. Diagonal
As in all Mouse movement, use your right hand to press on the WINDOWS and ALT keys.
To move the mouse upward to the left, use your fourth finger to press "W". To move the mouse upward to the right, use your second finger to press "R". To move the mouse downward to the left, use your fourth finger to press "X". To move the mouse downward to the right, use your second finger to press "V".

1. Mouse - c. Left Click - Right Click
As in all Mouse movement, use your right hand to press on the WINDOWS and ALT keys.
To left-click the mouse, press the third finger down on its home key "D".
To right-click the mouse, move the second finger to press "G".

As in all Mouse movement, use your right hand to press on the WINDOWS and ALT keys.
With the fifth finger of your left hand click once on the "A" key. This will insert the mouse in the desired object.
Now move the mouse in any direction, (vertical, horizontal or diagonal) as you learned in the Mouse lessons.
To release the drag, continue to press the WINDOWS and ALT key with your right hand and press the "Z" key with the fifth finger. This will release the INSERT.

3. Scrolling
To scroll inside a Window, use your right hand to press on the CONTROL and WINDOWS keys.
With your left hand, use the four directional keys that you learned in the Introduction to move horizontally and vertically.

4. Cursor: a. Left, Right, Up, Down
To move the Cursor, use your right hand to press on the CONTROL key.

4. Cursor: b. Line Start, Word Right, Line End
As in all Cursor movement, use your right hand to press on the CONTROL key.
To move to the Start of the line, use your fifth finger to press on its home key "A".
To move one Word Right, use your third finger to press on its home key "D".
To move to the End of the line, move your second finger to press "G".

4. Cursor: c. Page Up, Page Down, Doc Start, Doc End
As in all Cursor movement, use your right hand to press on the CONTROL key.
To move the cursor up by page, move your second finger up to press the "R" key.
To move the cursor down by page, move your second finger down to press the "V" key.
To move the cursor to the Start of the document, move your second finger to press the "T" key.
To move the cursor to the End of the document, move your second finger to press the "B" key.

5. Highlight: a. Left, Right, Up, Down
To Highlight, use your right hand to press on the CONTROL and SHIFT keys.
With your left hand, apply the Basic Technique (Introduction):

5. Highlight: b. LineStart, Word Right, Line End
As in all Highlighting, use your right hand to press on the CONTROL and SHIFT keys.
To move to the Start of the line, use your fifth finger to press its home key "A".
To move one Word Right, use your third finger to press on its home key "D".
To move to the End of the line, move your second finger to press "G".

5. Highlight: c. Page Up, Page Down, Doc Start, Doc End
As in all Highlighting, use your right hand to press on the CONTROL and SHIFT keys.
To move the cursor up by page, move your second finger up to press the "R" key.
To move the cursor down by page, move your second finger down to press the "V" key.
To move the cursor to the Start of the document, move your second finger to press the "T" key.
To move the cursor to the End of the document, move your second finger to press the "B" key.

6. Numbers: a. 1-9
To Number, use your right hand to press on the ALT key. The number pad is laid out exactly like the traditional keyboard number pad.
For the number 1, move your fourth finger down to "X".
For the number 2, move your third finger down to "C".
For the number 3, move your second finger down to "V".
For the number 4, use your fourth finger to press its home key "S".
For the number 5, use your third finger to press its home key "D".
For the number 6, use your second finger to press its home key "F".
For the number 7, move your fourth finger up to "W".
For the number 8, move your third finger up to "E".
For the number 9, move your second finger up "R".

6. Numbers: b. Zero and Decimal
As in all numbering, use your right hand to press on ALT.
For Zero, move your fifth finger down to "Z".
For Decimal, move your second finger down to "B".

6. Numbers: c. Operation Keys
As in all numbering, use your right hand to press on ALT.
For "+" (addition), move your second finger right to press "G".
For "-" (subtraction), move your second finger right to "H".
For "/" (division), move your second finger up to "T".
For "*" (multiplication), move your second finger up and right to "Y".

6. Numbers: d. Lock and Unlock the Number Pad
If you want to use the number pad without holding down the ALT key, simply press ALT and "/" with your right hand. This will lock the number pad.
To unlock the number pad press ALT and "COMMA".

7. Delete
To delete, simply press the CONTROL key with your right hand, and the "~" (tilde) key with your left hand.
